At the onset of my research, my intention was to seek to understand the language and narratives of eccultural identity - what an ecocultural identity is; how an ecocultural identity is formed; and how expanding one's sense of self to include the ecocultural could be of benefit, or bring about change to the individual, organisations or society.
I begun my research guided by the intention to live ‘cyclically;’ to first connect with, and experience my own ecocultural sense of self. I chose to use the eight Pagan and Celtic festivals, collectively known as the Wheel of the Year, as markers in this experience, and worked with an intuitive collage process to capture what emerged from my experiences and reflections.
