Are you feeling the weight of the fast-paced, productivity-focused, mechanistic experience of time?
Yes? You may be in need Worm Time.
What is Worm Time?
Worm Time, formally know as ‘doing nothing,’ is a period of creative rest, where we can:
metabolise our experiences,
compost our thoughts and feelings,
and turn over new ideas.
How might we expand our sense of self to include the ecological?
The wider spiral that Worm Time emerged within is my PhD research in Ecolinguistics at the University of Gloucestershire The starting point was an intention to research the language of ecocultural identity, which began with a personal exploration of my own ecocultural identity, guided by the Wheel of the Year.
How might creativity & dialogue support individuals & communities to flourish and thrive?
In addition to my PhD research and arts practice I am a facilitator and founder of Creating Meaning, specialising in transformative communication practices grounded in Bohm Dialogue. My PhD research is fertile ground for ways to bring people together to connect to themselves, each other and the world around them, and create the shared meaning and new thinking we need to transition to the regenerative paradigm.
How might language & imagination help guide us towards the regenerative paradigm?
As a result of exploring my own ecocultural identity within an arts-based and autoethnographic research practice, my focus has shifted to researching the use of the term ‘regenerative’ in a business context.
